Pixarsart have a long precedent of celebrating Thanksgiving with its employees. This year’s Thanksgiving was a bit different because we were welcoming new team mates along with bidding farewell to our Sr Python Developer Jahanzeb Khan. He had a very important role to play, but accepted a PhD scholarship to pursue his dreams. We bade him farewell on a small high tea party, and celebrated team’s success.
We celebrate Thanksgiving to say thank you to the Almighty for everything we have and our Pixarsart family for the hard work they have done all along the year. We will continue to celebrate this event for many more years to come.
Some fun facts about Thanksgiving are:
• The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621 as a harvest festival.
• US proclaimed Thanksgiving a national holiday on October 3, 1863.
• Turkey is a traditional dish served on Thanksgiving.
• Interestingly, Turkey wasn’t on the menu at the first Thanksgiving.
• Approximately 20% of US population travel during the Thanksgiving holidays.
